Editor’s note: Shortly after we recorded this episode, my brother’s best friend came over to our house and they hung out for a while. It was getting late so I decided to take him back home. All 3 of us went walking towards his house which was only a few blocks away from my place. We’re not a block away from his house when we are mugged by two young black men who tell us to drop on the ground and give them everything we have. We followed their orders, fearing that they might have a gun. The past few days, we have been unable to think clearly about anything since this happened and my brother is now afraid to leave the house. It’s taken everything in my power to be able to edit this episode with the same care and attention that I would have for others but now, I won’t be able to walk down the streets without turning back at least once. When we recorded this episode, we never thought that our lives could be threatened in any way, but now we’re releasing it as a testament to our commitment to sound silly for all of you under any circumstances. Nothing but the grace of God allowed us not to be shot/killed by those robbers and we couldn’t be more happier that we were given another chance to continue entertaining you all as much as we have before. We’re including a blooper from episode 10 as a “Life is beautiful!” bonus at the very end of this episode which we called “The Bill Cosby blooper”. We originally decided not to include this bit since we thought it didn’t fit the tone of the episode but seeing with what happened, we want to share this beautiful moment of awkward humor with all of you since it’s possibly the funniest and most inappropriate thing we’ve ever done on the podcast so far.
Hug your friends. Kiss your children. Thank everything for the beauty of life. Thank you for joining us on this unpredictable journey. We assure you that through bullet-hell or high water we will bring you our next episode and it will be as funny as the others. I guaran-damn-tee it.
